Webster defines a Dentist as: "one who is skilled in and licensed to practice the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases, injuries, and malformations of the teeth, jaws, and mouth and who makes and inserts false teeth."

Now let me tell you that Dr Hiers has all of those skills PLUS a most important one left out of the definition, CARING and Compassion for her clients. I have been a client of Dr Hiers for almost 35 years having followed her from Greenbelt to Laurel and now to her new practice in Columbia. I will follow her where ever she goes cause she is THAT GOOD a dentist, NUF said. Oh yeah her staff is very much a mirror image of her own personality and they make you feel at home and part of their family practice. You guys rock so keep up the great work.

I had been using an old school one man band dentist since I was a kid. Little did I know I was on the verge of big problems. Dr Hiers and her excellent staff got me turned around and now I have a healthy set of teeth and gums. Can't say enough about the professionalism and skill of Dr. Hiers and her staff.

Dr. Bonnie Hiers' dentistry practice is the best!! As a DVM, I tend to be relatively critical of physicians in general. With Dr. Hiers, this is never an issue. She graduated from medical school and dental school at the top of her class and her attention to excellence is evident. She loves her work! All the staff is competent and professional. Visits are smooth and pretty quick as the team works with outstanding efficiency. I strongly endorse and recommend this for general dentistry practiced and the highest level of quality.

I highly endorse and recommend Dr. Bonnie Heirs as the most excellent dentist I have ever visited. Being a military wife, we moved every 2-3 years during a twenty year period, which gave me the exposure of meeting lots of dentists all over the world and mostly in the States. After my spouse retired, I was able to settle and find a dentist who made me feel comfortable. I've never met another dentist like the incredible Dr. Bonnie Hiers!! Dr. Hiers is the most professional, up-to-date with technical standards and efficient dentist, I've ever encountered. I have known Dr. Hiers' professionally for over 15 years. Dr. Hiers' methods, techniques, standards and skills are at the greatest professional level. Her Professional Staff are courteous, efficient, friendly, and make you feel quite comfortable. I'm so very impressed with her knowledge of all the newest technology in dentistry work, which she explains in terms others can understand! Dr. Hiers has the highest academic level with greatest honors and received Summa cum Laude as a graduate in her fields of medicine and dentistry. She portrays an academic level of distinction and excellence in her work. Her integrity is beyond reproach! She is completely honest and does her level best to help save her patients on dental costs. Due to the highest regards to efficiency, I've never had to wait over 5 minutes for my appointments, which says so much for her and the Professional Staff's management skills. The office is conveniently located on the first floor. It's extremely clean, comfortable and pleasant. Dr. Bonnie Heirs and Professional Staff value their customers! Dr. Hiers accepts new patients and many insurances. I'd encourage you to make an appointment before going!

Most of my life I have had problems with my teeth. I have not have much luck finding a dentist that I could trust. I hated going to the dentist. I now have a dentist that I trust with Dr. Hires. My teeth are now in good shape. The staff is professional, friendly, and make it enjoyable. I even look forward to going to the dentist now. If you are looking for a new dentist, I recommend giving Dr. Hiers a visit.

I have been blessed with excellent dentists all of my life. After my last dentist retired early, I searched for two years to find someone I liked. Dr. Heirs is a consummate professional. Kind hearted, excellent skills, and spends as much time as she needs with me. We brought my 94-year-old father in law to her. He was a swell guy but was set in his ways. Dr. Heirs had him wrapped around her finger and she made him very happy - and compliant. I now travel over three hours for my appointments and have no plans to change.

Sleep apnea is something you don't trifle with. When my mother was ill I discovered apnea. She stopped breathing while sleeping. She was diagnosed with acute sleep apnea. I had an inkling I had the same issue and turned myself in for a sleep study. Yep, apnea was diagnosed.

A physician prescribed a CPAP device. Over time I couldn't tolerate using the mask. Looking for another solution, I came across an article discussing a snore guard.....an oral appliance. Oral equated to dentist so I called Dr. Hiers and asked her for help. She fitted me with a mandibular advancement device (MAD), in English, a snore guard. The MAD device works wonders. I feel rested again. It also serves as a night guard to keep my beautifully realigned teeth in proper position. 

Dr. Hiers continues to work her magic for me. I refer her at every opportunity. I can't thank my friend Dr. Hiers enough.

I've been a patient of Dr Hiers for over 20 years. I have many tooth problems including severe grinding, multiple tooth fractures, repeated chipping of teeth, multiple root canals, bridges, tooth implants, and more. After poor dentistry from other dentists I would follow Dr Hiers almost anywhere. I have been her patient in Hyattsville, Laurel, and Ellicott City. The long drive from New Carrollton is worth every mile and minutes to get to such an excellent dentist. Dr Hiers has been creative in making dental appliances and tooth structures for me. Luckily for me, there weren't and she's been with me through my braces period and then she left the office to start her own practice. Needless to say I was mortified. Well it didn't take me long to make the decision to follow Dr. Hiers. I said it back then and I'll say it again, "My teeth and smile are in the best hands ever!!" She, and her entire staff have the best "bed-side" manners of any group I've ever been with. I wouldn't trust my pearly whites to anyone else. Best Dentist ever, and I've been knowing her for 20+ years!! I'm not going anywhere else.

Dr. Bonnie Hiers is and has always been such a great dentist. Her concern and care for me was unmatched since my first appointment more than 20 years ago when I was looking for a good dentist, since I had bad experiences with other dentists. After a very bad experience with my former dentist, I stayed away from the dentist for some 21 years. After speaking to Bonnie in a social setting, I got up the courage to go in. The staff was AMAZING! Bonnie's chair-side manner is kind, understanding and direct. She doesn't sugar-coat any issues (pun fully intended) and is very direct in a kind and helpful way. Just what you are looking for in a dentist. no lecturing, no yelling no admonishments. Bonnie is fantastic! After a few visits 21 years of not going was reversed and now, quarterly visits are not feared rather I look forward to them! The staff is also very wonderful and that's because of Bonnie's leadership style. Never a flaw in billing and very accommodating in scheduling. Go to see her!

I have had the pleasure to have been a patient of Dr. Bonnie Hiers since 1988...and I say the "pleasure" because before that time I had some unpleasant experiences with other Dentists and Orthodontists. Bonnie Hiers is not just a Dentist---she is an "Artiste"! If you need a crown or a cap or a filling, you won't be able to tell the real from the replacement!

These days it's hard to find a Doctor that you can really communicate with, and really get a feeling that you are not just another patient in a waiting room. Speaking of "waiting rooms"...that's never a problem at her office, and especially if you need emergency services for a root canal (I've had several) or any other situation, Dr. Hiers will get you in there right away and take care of it.
